Calling ALL Potters
Let the Pottery Games Begin
NeighborImpact and Cindercone will once again be hosting the “Pottery Games”. The event will be held during Art Walk on August 1st from 6-9 pm at the Old Mill Quarter (550 SW Industrial Way in front of The Curiosity Shoppe). This crucial pre-fundraising event is held to produce most of the 750 bowls for Empty Bowls fundraiser (on November 16th this year) and let the public see potters in action. As in years past we will have potters competing to make the largest bowl, a bowl with no hands, the most well formed bowl thrown while blindfolded and a tandem throw using kids from the audience. There will also be an opportunity for the public to create hand formed bowls.

Empty Bowls:
Friday, August 1st, 6-9 pm Pottery Games outside of CinderCone.
Saturday, August 2nd, 10am-1pm Trimming.
Sunday, November 16th, Empty Bowls Event at Bend Golf & Country Club.
John Kinder is the Coordinator. Pots will be glazed and fired at CinderCone. Local potters, such as ourselves, will be asked to donate bowls. Clay will be available to potters for making bowls. They will fire Cone 10 clay, but if you’re going to fire yourself, Cone 5 minimum.
